Child-Centred
Children’s comfort, wellbeing and individual needs guide every visit and every decision we make.
About us
Helping families rebuild, reconnect, and move forward.
Safe Connections has been supporting Australian families for four years. In that time we have facilitated more than nine hundred supervised contact sessions and changeovers, working alongside parents, extended family members, carers, and legal representatives.
Our work sits in a difficult space. Families often come to us during a period of separation, uncertainty, or after a long time apart. Our role is not to take sides or to make decisions about a family’s future. It is to make time together possible, safe, and as ordinary as it can be for the child involved.
We work in home and community settings rather than clinical contact rooms, because children usually settle more readily in a place that feels familiar. A visit might take place in a lounge room, at a local park, or over a shared meal. The supervisor remains present and observant throughout, managing boundaries quietly and recording factual observations.
Every matter begins with a careful intake and risk assessment, so that arrangements are clear to everyone before contact begins. Where required, we contact the other party to confirm details and ensure there is shared clarity about arrangements and boundaries.

The child's comfort, routine, and sense of safety guide how each session is planned and how it runs on the day.
We do not advocate for either party. Boundaries are applied the same way every session, and observations are recorded factually.
Expectations, arrangements, and costs are confirmed during intake, so that no one is surprised once contact begins.
Our core values
Every family’s circumstances are different. These principles guide how Safe Connections approaches every family, every visit and every interaction.
Children’s comfort, wellbeing and individual needs guide every visit and every decision we make.
We plan each arrangement carefully and keep safety at the centre of every interaction, so children and families can feel supported.
We do not take sides between parents or family members. We remain balanced and focused on supporting safe, appropriate and meaningful contact.
Every family comes to us with different experiences, circumstances and challenges. We take the time to understand each family’s individual situation and respond with patience, empathy, respect and without judgement.
We respect each family’s culture, identity, background and values, and aim to provide support that feels considerate and appropriate to them.
Families can expect us to be consistent, clear and fair. We follow agreed arrangements, maintain professional boundaries and keep accurate records.
We believe safe, professionally supervised family contact should be realistically accessible. Wherever possible, we offer practical and flexible options that consider each family’s circumstances.
If you would like to understand how supervised contact could work for your family, we are glad to talk it through.
