Supervised contact, changeovers, transport, and reporting

Services are grouped below so you can see clearly what is available, how it works in practice, and what is considered an additional or optional service.

Areas we service

Safe Connections provides private supervised family contact services across Melbourne’s south-east.

Standard travel is included for locations within 20 km of Berwick. This generally includes Berwick, Beaconsfield, Officer, Narre Warren, Narre Warren South, Pakenham, Cranbourne, Clyde, Clyde North, Hampton Park and surrounding suburbs.

Families outside our standard service area are still welcome to enquire. Extended travel may be available by arrangement, with an additional travel charge applying depending on the location.

Supervised contact in home and community settings

A supervisor is present throughout the visit while a child spends time with a parent or family member. Contact takes place in an approved home setting or in an agreed community location such as a park, library, indoor play centre, or café, in accordance with any current orders or agreements.

The supervisor remains present, neutral, and observant for the full session.
Boundaries and agreed conditions are managed calmly and consistently.
Factual observations are recorded during or immediately after each session.
Arrival, departure, and handover arrangements are planned in advance to reduce conflict.
Sessions are arranged around the child's routine wherever possible.

Please note: a minimum two hour charge applies

Supervised contact is booked with a minimum two hour charge, even where the time actually used is less than two hours.

Supervised changeovers

A standalone service where a neutral supervisor manages the handover of a child between households, so the parties do not need to interact directly. Changeovers are charged as a flat fee.

The supervised changeover flat fee is to be confirmed. Please contact us and we will advise the current fee for your arrangement.

Transport

Where it is appropriate and agreed, Safe Connections can provide transport assisted changeovers, and transport associated with supervised contact. This may include collecting or returning a child, or travel between locations during an agreed session.

Documentation and reporting

Optional or additional

Documentation is not required in every matter. Where it is needed, the following can be requested.

Copies of existing observation records

Copies of the factual records already made by the supervisor during sessions that have taken place.

Single visit observational report

A written observational report prepared in relation to one supervised visit.

Multi visit or court summary report

A consolidated report covering multiple visits, or a summary report prepared for use in a family law matter.
